My September 2010 Investment, Front-end Load Example

I was a little late investing my P1000 for the month of September.  I decided to opt for a front-end sales load.  I wanted to try it to confirm my calculations and I also wanted a little more flexibility.
Over the long term a back-end load is less expensive, but with a front-end load I can redeem my investment at any time.
Here are the calculations:

Amount Invested:

P1000

Sales Load Type:

Front-end

Sales Load (2%):

P20.00

Sales Load plus 12% VAT:

P22.40

Net Amount Invested:

P977.60

NAVPS:

P2.5367

Number of shares bought:

385
